Can you write a novel when you’re tired?
No.
You may get a serious word count.
But I guarantee you’ll have to work so much harder to undo it.
There are days when I simply can’t write. Those days, I don’t try.
Now, I’m usually pretty tired most days. That’s not the kind of tired I’m talking about.
If you have the energy to speak, usually you have the energy to write.
Those days, you just fight through it.
But the days where you open Scrivener and stare at it for twenty minutes and then you realize you’ve been sitting there staring at it…
…it’s time to watch funny animal movies.
