What You Need to Do Immediately if Your NaNoWriMo project Fails

Okay, you’ve gotten a start on your novel.
This is the day where some people start to falter. You should have 6668 words done by the end of the day. Everyone can get at least 800 words a day, which means if you didn’t plan right (let’s see how I planned! -NR), you’re probably around 2400 words.

Not too late. You just need to dedicate ONE CRASH DAY of planning. Go back to all my planning pages. You’ll find everything you need there.

So – how do you keep up? This weekend, turn off your TV. Disconnect from the Internet. Put earphones on, visualize your novel and WRITE.

Forget sequential writing. That’s why the software I recommend is all non-sequential. You need to write the scenes you can see and can’t wait to write. Get working on those.

What scene can’t you wait to write? Do that one. Then the next most important one, then the next.

You don’t have time to fiddle with what you write – write as fast as you can! WRITE!

Get words on paper. Worry about perfect phrases and perfect choices of words in January. Right now – no.
