In case you didn’t follow the “Setting up your project” article of two weeks ago…
Remember this – NaNoWriMo is the goal of writing AN ENTIRE NOVEL in the month of November.
If you wrote only one word – you did not win.
If you started a novel and got only one chapter – you did not win.
You lost.
Many of those people who tell you that “you won if you wrote one word” are either a). Whistling in the dark because they don’t know how to write a book, and don’t like you succeeding where they failed or B). Know there’s millions competing, and that means in April, there’ll be a lot of competition for literary agents – and the less winners of NaNo, the better. When they say “If you only wrote one word you won…” they really mean, “If you didn’t win, I sure did”.
Don’t settle for less.
Get your word count in.
Write your novel.
You can do it.
I gave you all the tools.
One month from now, you will win NaNoWriMo, and it’s such an amazing feeling! Do not give up!
Tweet your word count every day!
