A bunch of fun facts about your favorite author!
Okay, I don’t know any fun facts about Fred Saberhagen or Richard Adams! But I can bore you with endless trivia about me!
I – like all of my protagonists – am left handed.
Also like every protagonist I invent (except one) – I am from Rhode Island.
All of my protagonists have blue eyes, like me.
I once was in an opera at the age of 8. The picture that ended up in the newspaper showed – Klaus Von Bulow in the audience.
I’ve done martial arts most of my life. I’ve only lost three sparring matches, and none in tournaments.
I’m a theologian, seminary trained.
I am a cat person.
I have a phobia of dogs and clowns. “And clown dogs.”
Almost every time I’ve ever gone in the ocean, I’ve been attacked by some kind of oceanic lifeform, including a meeting with a 30 foot long Blue Shark. Well, he probably was four feet long, but when a shark bumps your leg with its snout, they always look 30 feet long. But most of my attacks have been by crabs or jellyfish. Maybe I should watch where I’m walking?
I play guitar.
I am under 6 feet tall.
I left Junior High School to attend college.
My junior high school used to send me reunion invitations. No thanks.
I used to be a serious sci-fi fan, preferring Arthur Clarke and Heinlein (the pre-60’s Heinlein).
One of my sisters presented me with a pig’s heart in a glass bottle once. I hid it somewhere so I wouldn’t have to look at it, and fortunately my mother found it and threw it away.
I once wrote an action movie about a Chassid who has incredible action star fighting skills. Most people thought the story was a little weird.
Okay, that’s more about me than you care to know. Regular blog posts returning soon!
